Straight Into Gyumri: Day 1 on the Road Through Armenia
Almost everyone arrives in Armenia the same way. You land at Zvartnots, outside Yerevan, and if you are heading anywhere else you get in a car.

Aypoupen · since December 2013
Garo and Araz Kotchounian started Aypoupen in December 2013, out of a straightforward love for the Armenian people and the country. Twelve years and 162 pieces later it is still the same work: spotlighting Armenians, at home and across the diaspora.
We go to as many places as we can reach, and from what we find we build small, exclusive trips — built around experiences and culture rather than a checklist of monasteries.
Spotlight
Armenians worth knowing about, wherever they ended up, and the country they came from.
Go and look
Towns, villages, workshops and kitchens. Written from having been there, not from a desk.
Experiences
Small, exclusive trips and stays built out of what we found, for people who want the culture rather than the checklist.
On the road now
5 pieces written up so far. Still travelling, still editing, so the rest is coming.
