Tsaghkadzor

An important stop on your List to Tour in Armenia. Breakfast at your hotel. This day you’ll visit Tsaghkadzor, the city located 50 km from Yerevan.
The main part of the city is expanded on the Eastern slope of Mount Teghenis. Tsaghkadzor is one of the leading tourism centers in the country. Tsaghkadzor meaning “the valley of flowers”, is associated with the name of Tsaghkuniats Mountains.
Today Tsaghkadzor is a city with newbuilt streets, gorgeous night lightings, modern hotels and rest houses. It Is charming both in summer and winter. One of the most important parts of the city is the Ropeway with 5 stations the line of current international standards by the level of the technical equipment and services. Here, there were also built 30 km skyways.
In winter, thousands of winter sports lovers prefer to arrive from different countries and have a rest in the Resort of Tsaghkadzor. In Tsaghkadzor we can see the religious and cultural site of the city- the Monastery Complex of Kecharis, totally reconstructed in 2001. Turn back to Yerevan.

Sevan- Dilijan- Goshavank

Start this day by visiting the blue Pearl of Armenia — Lake Seven, recognized as a national treasure in the country. It is the largest lake in the Caucasus and Armenia. at an altitude of 1900 m above sea level. At the shore of a small island is located the Monastery complex of Sevanavank. After the water level fell about 20 m, the island transformed into a peninsula.
You can take your lunch here in Sevan, which provides approximately 90 % of the fish and 80 % of the crayfish catch of Armenia.
You’ll take the road to the Armenian Switzerland, known as Dilijan, one of the most important resorts of Armenia. You’ll have a little city tour in the old town of Dilijan which includes Sharambeyan street in the center, complete with craftsman’s workshops, galleries, and museums.
Visit the two monastery complexes of 13th-century Goshavank, were restored by an Islamic Individual from the United Arab Emirates.

Garni- Geghard

This excursion day on the Tour in Armenia list, you’ll visit one of the most visiting sites of Armenia: Garni Pagan Temple which is located in the village of Garni, built-in the 1st century CE.
The Temple of Garni survived the destruction of pagan temples following Armenia’s conversion to Christianity. After the earthquakes, the temple was reconstructed.
The latter is situated on a cliff, from where opens a beautiful panoramic view up to a range of Geghama mountains as well as the Azat River near the Ararat Plain.
The Medieval Monastery of Geghard is located deep within Azat valley, founded by Saint Gregory the illuminator as the area of a small Christian chapel.
The complex is accepted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000 CE. You can have lunch here in Garni village where you can be present also at the preparation of Armenian bread “Lavash”. Turn back to Yerevan.

Etchmiadzin- Khor Virap

A must visit on the list of Tour in Armnia. This day you’ll start the trip by visiting the 4th largest city in Armenia, Etchmiadzin. Before 1945 it was officially admitted as Vagharshapat. Nowadays, the city is best known as the center of the Armenian Apostolic Church “Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin” and as the location of Its Cathedral.
The Cathedral of Etchmiadzin was built in Ancient Armenia, in the early 4th century and was following the adoption of Christianity as a state religion by King Tiridates. In Etchmiadzin visit also St. Gayane and St. Hripsime Churches of the 7th century. These two churches were listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Afterward, continue the road to Khor Virap, located on the border of Armenia which, was the first established monastery in Armenia in 642 CE. This is one of the primary visiting sites in Armenia with the panorama view of the Ararat Mountain and the Turkish border nowadays. The legend of this monastery is associated with Saint Gregory the Illuminator, who was imprisoned here for 13 years. Turn back to Yerevan.
