The Presidents of Cyprus and Armenia Nicos Anastasiades and Serzh Sargsyan unveiled on Wednesday a Cross Stone, a gift of the people of Armenia to the people of Cyprus, as a symbol of their friendship. The unveiling ceremony took place outside the premises of the Protocol Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Addressing the ceremony, both Presidents underlined the long-standing historic and friendly ties between the peoples of the two countries.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan later visited Nareg Armenian School
The President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan visited on Wednesday Nareg School and the Armenian Genocide Monument, during his official visit to Cyprus.
The Armenian President was accompanied by the Minister of Education and Culture Costas Kadis, the Presidential Commissioner for Humanitarian Issues and Overseas Cypriots Photis Photiou, and the Director of the School Vera Tahmazian.
The Armenian President attended a ceremony organised by the students with traditional Armenian songs, dances and poems.
President Anastasiades pledges to enhance relations with Armenia
President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades has pledged to personally work to secure deepening of cooperation between Cyprus and Armenia.
The President was speaking during a dinner he hosted on Tuesday for his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan who was on an official visit to Cyprus.
In his speech, President Anastasiades welcomed Sargsyan to the island, noting it is a sign of “our political will and determination to further strengthen relations between the two countries”.
