100 Trees in Memorial of the Armenian Genocide Centennial in Tehran

The Armenian Genocide Centennial committee of Tehran, organized a community Memorial tree planting in “Sohanak” Park, Tehran, on the 8th of March 2015, in memory of the victims of the Armenian genocide.

[ad id=”1838″]In a private corner The Armenians of Tehran will enjoy a walk in the tree alley in the park mentioned above, where the Memory of Armenian Martyrs is eternized by 100 trees resembling the 100 years.

Also present were General Director of the committee of Natural Reserves and Water Use of the State of Tehran, who highly appreciated the idea of the event, and permitted the community to put up a wooden sign dedicated to the victims of the Genocide. Moreover, Tehran’s Forests and Pasturage Reservation Committee spiritual representative esteemed the event and promised to take special care and attention to the spot.

In the end of the day, everyone left a part of their souls with the tree each planted, hoping that the plants soon grow to be trees and eternalize the profound lasting memory of the Martyrs.
